Uber Eats, one of Ifood’s biggest competitors of iFood, will pull the plug on deliveries in Brazil. Its activities on food deliveries will be suspended after 7 March.
But the service won’t be completely thrown away: the app will focus on supermarket deliveries, wholesales, and specialized stores. That said, the company will make use of Uber Flash to deliver the products through Cornershop by Uber.
Users will me able to buy stationery, beverages, decoration items and other kind of products throughout the app.
There’s more: Uber will expand its Uber Direct enterprise product. With that, retailers will be able to offer better shipping prices for its customers.
The company is also working in accepting motorcycles and taxis to make deliveries cheaper and faster.
